The movies

Wow, I have been to the movies a lot recently. Welll, last night, I went to the movies again with some totally awesome people to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. It was okay, some of it was a lot more far fetched thatn the original. But still good. But I'm calling it now, the way they set it up, a sequel to the sequel will be coming soon. I call it a "triquel". So...

Pretty good...

oh yeah

Here's how SI.com's playoff worked. Using the final BCS rankings, we seeded the top 16 teams in order. To avoid inter-conference matchups in the first round, we made two simple adjustments (swapping Arizona State and Florida in the seeding process, as well as Illinois and Boston College). For the purpose of this simulation, we assumed that all "banged up" players (Tim Tebow, Glenn Dorsey, etc.) would take part in the action.

In the preseason AP poll, USC was a runaway No. 1, receiving 62 of 65 first-place votes. And even though the Trojans lost at home to Stanford and look mediocre for large stretches of the season, they're still the cream of the crop in the eyes of the masses.

After trailing in the voting for much of the Wednesday, the Trojans overwhelmed Oklahoma over night and ended up winning convincingly, 31,867 (55 percent) to 25,755 (45 percent).

Seventh-seeded USC won every game by at least 10 percent. In the first round, the Trojans spanked undefeated Hawaii 140,157 (74 percent) to 50,217 (26 percent). Then USC knocked off supposed favorite LSU 123,982 (55 percent) to 101,200 (45 percent). In the semifinals, the Trojans routed defending national champ Florida 84,543 (63 percent) to 48,863 (37 percent).

In real life, the Trojans won't have a chance to take home the title, as the Trojans are set to play Illinois in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1. But USC and Oklahoma boast plenty of young talent and both Ultimate Playoff finalists should be in the midst of the 2008 national championship race.

yeah, thats right. thats how itll be in on the rose bowl

Am i am geek?

I think so. I have not been so excited in a long time. I was so excited when I went to the library recently, and saw a book I wanted so bad, The One and only Bourne Supremacy. Wow. I was so excited. Her the senario.

I walked into the library to return one of my ten overdue books, and saw it in the used books section of the library. It was only uno dollars, so i decided i needed it. I was so excited that they finally had it.

So, am i a geek? i think so

world on fire

This Weekend

So this weekend I was at church so much! I was there on Friday, until like 10, Saturday from like 9-8 and yeah. SO on Friday, I went to the Hurley sale and spent like $75 dollars on clothes. Then later I went to the AIDS kickoff with Bryce Kelly and some other people. Then, on Saturday we were supposed to have a soccer tournament, but seeing as it was pouring, we couldn't. So instead, I went to the Youth AIDS Conference with my sister and hade my eyes opened. I had known actually a lot about AIDS and HIV, but not that much. After that, my, Taylor, Kayla and Christine and Nick all went to Wahoos for some lunch. Dough Boy had to practice for Fuel, so me and everyone else dropped him off and went to Christine's clubhouse. WE then went to Church again! That was my weekend so far.

youth aids summit

Hmmm okay. So Today, as some of you know is Saturday. And, as all of you should know, today was the Youth AIDS Summit at Church. It was freakin awesome. heres a list of the good speakers and Not So Good Ones:
Favorite speakers:
1. A little asian dude named Francis Chan. He was pretty much amaing. He looks like this...
Yeah, hes just a little Asian dude, but he was talking about all the changes in the making for his church, and how we were leading the charge. It was awesome. He made me want to go to Kenya. Look for his podcast with Louie Giglio.

2. A super awkward dude that talked all about sex, and what we could and couldn't do. It was definitely not the Saddleback version of the sex talk..... But it was pretty good. "Don't look, Don't Touch, Don't Stimulate" if I remember right. Yeah, anyway, it was good. His name was John Thomas. Heres a pic.

Now....The worst ones:

1. The only one I didn't like. Her name was Jenna Bush. Just a small town girl. Not! Anyway, it wasn't that she was bad, but I could tell she was not a speaker, and was therefore way awkward. Anyway, not her fault, but she wrote a book and now she has to talk about it. My sister compared it to a student going up to big church to share a testimony. A picture:

So, a good day. Ill blog about church tomorow..
